Why should I get a custom-fitted mouthguard?
If you’re playing a sport that has any risk of facial injury, you should be wearing a mouthguard. From the more obvious contact sports like MMA, boxing, rugby, AFL or hockey, through to non-contact sports like basketball, netball, touch football, skateboarding or soccer.
A custom-fitted mouthguard gives each athlete a higher level of protection. They’re designed by a dental professional to specifically fit the contours of every individual mouth. With the right fit in place, a mouthguard acts as a shock absorber - cushioning the impact on the teeth, jaw and soft tissues and protecting from injuries like broken jaws, cracked teeth and cut lips or tongues.

The Australian Dental Association (ADA) does not recommend the use of over the counter (boil and bite) mouthguards for a number of reasons.
How to choose your mouthguard
We offer the following three levels of protection, based on the age of your child and the sport they’re playing.
Light – $185
*Before health fund rebate
Specifically designed for maximum breathability, whilst still protecting against the occasional unexpected impact. One layer of laminated material 2-3mm thickness.
Medium – $225
*Before health fund rebate
High-level protection for athletes participating in contact sports. 2 layers of laminated material at 3-4mm thickness.
Heavy Pro – $265
*Before health fund rebate
Ultimate protection for professional athletes or anyone playing heavy contact sports. 3 layers of laminated material at 4-5mm thickness.

You can also customise your mouthguard’s design to suit your style for an extra $15.
All mouthguards are claimable through your health fund using the item code 151. We’ll happily do this for you on the spot!
